A unique program that will take place at the intimate and quaint Cadet Hotel in Miami Beach where students and faculty will share life changing experiences through interactive masterclasses, presentations, and private lessons.
At the height of tourist season, and just a few blocks away from the Cadet Hotel, our artists and participants will experience the magic of Miami Beach’s beaches, Art Deco District and the gorgeous grounds of the Botanical Gardens.
The MIPFA Winter Academy is a program dedicated to the study of the piano repertoire in all its facets of technical and musical interpretation, under the guidance of world-class performers.
Every student will have the opportunity to play in a masterclass. Akin to Liszt’s famous classes at Weimar, masterclasses will be open to all students to share the wisdom and experience of our distinguished faculty but also to be active participants.
In this setting, words like “teacher” and “student” are blurred by the free interchange of ideas, where there are no dogmatic concepts but rather respect of each other distinctiveness. Individualism, originality and creativity have always been at the core of the philosophy at the Miami International Piano Festival and Academy.
Each student will part in two, one-hour private masterclasses with their selected faculty members.
Lecturers and professors will host daily lecture – demonstrations presentations on relevant topics of interest
Students will have the opportunity to observe all private and masterclasses and perform. Practicing will be available according to schedule.
All students will attend and participate in the masterclasses and symposiums by our distinguished faculty, plus they will have the chance to share their thoughts in a relaxed and warm atmosphere.
All participants will be hosted at Villa Medici Giulini's facilities – Room and Breakfast costs are included in their tuition fee.
• In the cost of each of the rooms is included breakfast and VAT 10%
• • Each student can choose to either have a single room or a double room. Double room's tuition fees are cheaper. Know more
• Many rooms have private kitchens, and additional kitchens are available for the rooms that don’t have private kitchen
• As for lunch and dinner participants can walk to a restaurant near the villa which costs 12 euros per person, or they can buy food to cook inside, in the supermarket near the villa

Students and faculty spend their Winter at the luxurious Cadet Hotel in Miami Beach, located one block from the beach, and where our Winter Academy takes place.
It is also the center where most activities will take place, including masterclasses and lectures. Practicing will be possible in a limited number of practice rooms. All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner, included with tuition fee) will also be served at the Cadet, prepared by the excellent hotel staff.

The Cadet Hotel is located 19 minutes from the Miami International Airport and 35 minutes from Fort Lauderdale International Airport. Miami Beach is a coastal resort city on the Atlantic Ocean. The Art Deco District is the largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world comprising of hundreds of hotels and apartments.

When taking part into events outdoors the hotel such as the Botanical Garden, students will be guided by one of our team members so that they reach their destination with no problem.
For those locations far away, such as the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center, the MIPFA will provide a free shuttle for all students.
