After successfully presenting the Piano Academy for five consecutive years and several projects in the US and Europe, we are excited to announce the return of this intense and highly successful program to the magical setting of Cadet Hotel in January, 2024.
Every night one of our distinguished faculty will give a performance at the beautiful Botanical Garden — a ten-minute walk from the hotel.
The concert series will culminate with Julien Libeer at the Aventura Arts Center — MIPFA will provide free transportation. One of the recitals will be devoted to a selected number of students. In addition, members of our faculty will offer several lecture/presentations on topics relevant to piano performance. All musical activities will be free to students.
We believe that attending the MIPFA can be a transcendental experience. Our commitment is to inspire and stimulate all participants. Our philosophy is to help students find the means that will support their development toward the culmination of their musical objectives.
Our faculty team is formed by some of the most acclaimed, internationally renowned pianists of the current scene, as well as long term stablished pedagogues.
MIPFA Winter Program take place at Cadet Hotel, in the heart of Miami Beach - a unique venue that inspires pianists and artists.
Unlike the typical autocratic system of schools and festivals, MIPFA programs are unique because all students interact and study with every artist in the faculty. Therefore, if a student attends all the MIPFA sessions, they will study with as many as seventeen extraordinary pianists and attend all their concerts.
MIPFA is different because it allows students to hear and appreciate differences, allowing them the freedom to choose what is most natural and comfortable for their hands, mind, and heart. This diversity gives students the freedom and power to scrutinize, choose, sift, and filter what they hear, which ultimately helps them develop the self-confidence of a strong musical personality. Competition amongst students or teachers is non-existent, replaced by enjoyable camaraderie and a collective love of music. Music then, is not only beautiful and exciting, but also so much fun!
“I have to say again how grateful I am to have attended the Winter Academy. The venueand environment were exquisite and I absorbed so much from the faculty and the otherstudents--it was a special way to start 2023 and I’m feeling renewed for what’s to come!”

The pandemic of 2020 has been devastating to all cultural and educational institutions. Following CDC guidelines, the doors of schools and concert halls have beenclosed. One of the casualties was The Miami International Piano Festival Academy that was to take place at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. For more than fifty young pianists, those exciting and stimulating summer weeks of past years were taken away.
But today we are excited to announce that MIPFA officially opens the doors of its Virtual Platform and the beginning of its 2020/2021 academic year. Many of the great artists we have presented in the past will share their artistry with the entire world. You can watch these events via livestream through our social media nets. Music lovers will have the chance to access audio-visual content, performances, online master classes, and much more.
We urge you to apply, follow, and enjoy the multidimensional features available at the MIPFA Virtual Platform.
